What do you do when you have a layout designed in Quark that needs to be edited, but you only have access to Adobe InDesign? This used to be a headache that most designers dreaded because they wasted hours recreating their layout due to the incompatibility of the two file types.
Happily, those days are over! With the help of an Adobe plug-in from Markzware called Q2ID(QuarkXPress to Adobe InDesign) you can easily migrate your Quark files into an InDesign document. It’s a quick and easy download from http://www.markzware.com and you are on your way! You should always check over your document for any small formatting issues or font changes .. but generally speaking it works brilliantly! Finally, there is a way for two big rivals to work together … with the help of a moderator called Q2ID!

If you own a business and have been diagnosed with technophobia, you need to take immediate steps to address the fear … Technophobia is no laughing matter as it impacts your operation and how your business grows. People with this disease usually make poor decisions because they lack the necessary knowledge to do so. If you have technophobia don’t panic or become frustrated. Simply keep your mind open to learning. Do some research and reading on your own so that you have a general familiarity on the topic. There are also individuals and companies that will go the extra mile to explain things to you. Ask for options that fit a beginner … intermediate or advanced technology user. Ask how scalable the solution is — can it grow with your needs? Ask for references and … trust your truth-o-meter or internal comfort level. Once you embrace responsibility and learn more about technology, the more you can benefit from it and the efficiency rewards that come with it.
